I have always been someone who needs a little extra coverage on my face. I hate to look in the mirror and see that my skin is still red or blotchy, so I typically do two coats of powder foundation before applying liquid or cream foundation. This has never bothered me until this morning when I read an article about the difference between liquid and powder foundations for oily skin types. The author said that because liquid foundations are oil-based, they will clog pores more easily than powders based on water-soluble binders like titanium dioxide. Which made me wonder why people with oily skin use liquid instead of powders? So today’s post will be about whether you should use a powder over a liquid base.

The two most common types of foundation are powder and liquid. The question is, which one’s better? There are advantages to both options, but you’ll need to choose the right one for your skin type. For example, if you have oily skin, go with a liquid foundation because it will soak up any excess oil on your face. On the other hand, if you’re looking for something more natural-looking that won’t cake up over time, then the powder is the way to go.

I think it’s time to put this debate to rest finally. I know that everyone has their own opinion on which foundation is better, but in my opinion, powder foundation is the only way to go! Liquid foundations are great when you’re in a rush and need something quick, but when you have more time for your morning routine, there’s no substitute for the perfect seamless finish of a powder. Let me tell you why…

Powder Foundation VS Liquid Foundation is a hot topic that many people are interested in. Which one should you use? Let’s explore the pros and cons of both to find out which one is best for you.

The first thing to consider when deciding what type of foundation to buy is your skin type. The makeup artist will need to know this before recommending anything. For example, the liquid foundation may be better for you if you have oily or acne-prone skin because it helps control oil production on the face while still providing coverage. But if your skin is dry or sensitive, the powder may be better for your needs because it provides a matte finish and doesn’t clog pores as much as liquid does since there’s no silicone in it like most liquids products.

Powder and liquid makeup can both be used to cover up irregularities on your skin, but which one is the best for you? Liquid foundation usually has a more matte finish than powder which helps hide pores. On the other hand, the powder provides a natural-looking coverage that is less cakey than liquid foundations. The downside of using powder foundation is that it doesn’t stay on as long as liquid, so you’ll need to keep touching up throughout the day.

Deciding between powder or liquid foundation depends on what type of look you’re going for if you want something light and natural, then go with powder, if you want something heavier to go with liquid!

As always, consult a beauty professional before making any decisions about your makeup routine!
